Major League Soccer announced the 2016 league schedule on Thursday, including the Dynamo’s 34-game slate for their 11th season in Houston.

The Dynamo open the 2016 campaign on Sunday, March 6 at BBVA Compass Stadium against the New England Revolution. Decision Day, the final day of the regular season, will take the Dynamo to Denver to face the Colorado Rapids.

The 17-game home schedule includes two visits each from FC Dallas in the Texas Derby (March 12, Aug. 27), the LA Galaxy (Apr. 15, Oct. 16) and Seattle Sounders (Apr. 10, Aug. 24). Houston will host the defending MLS Cup champion Portland Timbers on Saturday, September 24, followed six days later by a visit from a New York City FC club featuring international stars Frank Lampard, Andrea Pirlo and David Villa which will be televised nationally on UniMas.

In addition to the NYCFC match on September 30, the Dynamo are slated to play seven more games on national television in 2016, including back-to-back dates on April 10 and 15 vs. Seattle (ESPN) and the Galaxy (UniMas), respectively. The team will also play in front of a national audience June 26 at Portland on ESPN2; and will be seen nationally on UniMas July 8 at Orlando, July 15 at the Galaxy, August 19 at San Jose and September 9 at Sporting Kansas City.

The home slate includes 10 Saturday home dates, four Sunday home games, two Friday night matches, and one mid-week match on Wednesday. Kickoff times for all Dynamo home games will be released in the coming weeks.

Major League Soccer will continue to play an unbalanced schedule this season, with the Dynamo set to play each Eastern Conference team once, six Western Conference teams three times and three Western Conference clubs (Colorado Rapids, Sporting Kansas City and Portland Timbers) twice. Among the Eastern Conference clubs traveling to Houston are the Philadelphia Union, who visit on July 2 for an Independence Day weekend matchup; and Toronto FC, which features U.S. Men’s National Team stars Michael Bradley and Jozy Altidore as well as league MVP Sebastian Giovinco, on Saturday, August 13.

In the second season under the leadership of head coach Owen Coyle, the Dynamo will introduce a pair of exciting new attacking players in midfielder Christian Maidana and wide player Andrew Wenger, both of whom were acquired via trade from the Philadelphia Union. Midfielder Ricardo Clark re-signed with the club after tallying a career-best eight goals in 2015 en route to team MVP and Players’ Player of the Year honors.

Dynamo full-season plans are available now starting at $385, and tickets for the season opener vs. New England on March 6 are available now starting at $25.
