The LA Galaxy will be without their primary midfield enforcer for Friday night's clash against the Dynamo on UniMás (10 p.m. CT | CHANNEL GUIDE).

The Dutch midfielder was issued a red card for his foul in the 74th minute against the Vancouver Whitecaps on July 4, and was suspended an additional match and issued an undisclosed fine by the MLS Disciplinary Committee. The first game of the suspension was served last on July 9 against Seattle Sounders, a 1-0 Galaxy win.

De Jong was also suspended for the first meeting between the Dynamo and Galaxy in April as part of a three-game suspension. De Jong has missed five of LA's 17 games in 2016, but the Galaxy have maintained a 4-0-2 record without the two-time World Cup veteran.

The Galaxy are also expecting to miss left back Ashley Cole due to a hamstring issue, according to LAGalaxy.com.
