Brazos Valley Cavalry F.C. add three more Dynamo Academy alums to inaugural roster

The Brazos Valley FC Cavalry continue to add to the roster for their upcoming inaugural season as they added Mason Schuster, Elo Ozumba and Christian Molina today.


All three players participated in the Dynamo Academy.


Ozumba was born in Warri, Nigeria but his hometown is Houston, Texas. He is in his junior year at Northwestern University. In Ozumba’s freshman year, he was named to the All-Big Ten Freshman Team after he appeared in 18 games for the Wildcats and finished the season with four assists. The four assists were tied for the second most on the team. Ozumba’s sophomore campaign produced three goals, including a game winner and 16 shots, which was second best on the team. He was also named Academic All-Big Ten. Last season, Ozumba had three goals and one assist in 14 starts for Northwestern.


Christian Molina is from Katy, Texas and just completed his freshman season at Northern Illinois University. Molina had an impressive freshman campaign for the Huskies as he started 14 of 16 matches and tallied a goal and two assists. The best game in his young career for Northern Illinois was against West Virginia, where he scored a goal and assisted the game-winner in a 2-1 victory. He also had 27 shots including 10 shots on goal and played 103 minutes in the season opener.


Mason Schuster is currently a freshman at the University of North Carolina-Wilmington. In his first collegiate season with the Seahawks, Schuster played in 13 matches and started in one of those. The lone start came against Charlotte on September 20th. He recorded an assist in his first game with the Seahawks against Campbell. The midfielder is from Houston, Texas.


The Brazos Valley Cavalry FC home opener is on Monday, June 5th against Texas United FC at the newly-renovated Nutrabolt Stadium.
