On takeaways from the game …

This was a game we let a few points get away. Looking at the stats, we had 20 shots and only four were on target. We have to be more clinical with the chances we have. The chances we had any other day our guys put it in. On the road, we have to be able to get the first goal, which we have only done once this season.

On his two big clearances …

I think in our road games, we’ve had so many chance’s that we don’t finish, and the home team has been making us pay for our mistakes. Thankfully, this time I was here to back Tyler up and clear the ball away and save us a point.

On Houston’s solid defense being the main takeaway from the game …

The whole team, not just the back four played extremely well. Unlike the Colorado game, when we were all stretched out from each other at about 60 yards, this game we were at right around 40 so we felt we were in better position. Yeah, they had 65% possession but most of that was between our center backs, so that wasn't very concerning.

On a big takeaway from this game…

Hopefully, that we can keep the momentum going. Obviously, we had very good opportunities but next game we have to put our chances away.

On how to change focus with a quick turnaround …

It’s easy. We’ve had these types of games quite often so really, it’s about just taking care of our bodies these next couple of days. For me, returning home to play in front of 200-plus friends and family members is motivation enough.
