Our five Houston Dash players in Australia have a busy Thanksgiving weekend of them. As they get the ball rolling in W-League play, each team is finding their footing in the race to the title.

Midfielder Sofia Huerta and forward Veronica Latsko claim the top of the table with Sydney FC after their second straight win with a 1-0 victory over defender Amber Brooks and Adelaide United. Midfielder Haley Hanson earned her first win with the Melbourne Victory in a dramatic 3-2 win over the Brisbane Roar.

This week, Hanson and the Victory are in South Korea competing in the inaugural AFC Women’s Club Championship. They are competing against three other clubs in a round-robin style tournament to claim the first-ever title.

Brooks and Adelaide United will take on Melbourne City on Saturday, November 30 at 2:00 a.m. CDT. ON Sunday, December 1, defender Ariana Romero and Perth Glory are back in action as they host Huerta, Lastko and Sydney FC at 2:00 a.m. CDT.
