Dos have five regular season matches remaining in their push for the MLS NEXT Pro Playoffs, including three at home and two on the road.

Dynamo Dos currently sit 11th in the Western Conference with 29 points and a 7-11-5 (WLD) record.
Houston is coming off a 1-0 home loss to The Town FC in a tightly contested match that saw a flurry of attacking chances for Dos in the second half. Despite the result, Dynamo Academy midfielder Matthew Arana made his third professional appearance after coming on to the pitch in the 71st minute. Arana, who made his professional debut on July 25, became the second-youngest player to debut for Dynamo Dos this season at just 14 years, 10 months and 28 days old.
Two Dynamo Academy players that play on Dynamo 2 reported to training camp with the U.S. Youth National Team this past Friday. Defender Daniel Barrett and midfielder Mattheo Dimareli were called up the join the U.S. U-17 Men’s National Team for the September Identity Training Camp in Fayetteville, Ga.
Forward David Garcia is also on international duty, as he was called up to the Venezuela U-17 National Team last week for a series of international friendlies versus Honduras (Aug. 22 and 25) and Panama (Aug. 29 and 31). Notably, Garcia signed with Dynamo 2 this year, becoming the seventh Dynamo Academy player to sign a professional contract with Dos. The attacker has totaled 10 appearances this season with the team, while scoring one goal.
CITY2 enters the match at the top of the Western Conference with 54 points and a 16-4-3 (WLD) record. They are coming off a 3-0 home victory over Sporting Kansas City II on Aug. 24. The scoring opened with an own goal from a Kansas City defender, before Miguel Perez added a second for CITY2 in the 34th minute and sealed the win with another in the 78th. Mykhi Joyner leads the team’s attack with 14 goals, while Brendan McSorley and Emil Jääskeläinen are tied for first with seven assists.
Both sides have faced each other twice this year already, with Dos falling 3-1 on the road on May 4, where midfielder Sebastian Rodriguez scored Houston’s lone goal, and 1-0 on June 28.
