HOUSTON (July 5, 2025) – Houston Dynamo 2 will conclude their four-match road stretch on Sunday, July 6, when they face Colorado Rapids 2 at DICK’S Sporting Goods Park. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. CT, and fans can stream the match live on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.

The match will be the second of three meetings between the two sides this season, with Houston set to return to Colorado on Sept. 9 to close out the series. In their first matchup, Dynamo 2 earned their first penalty kick shootout victory of the year following a scoreless draw, edging Colorado 5-4 on penalty kicks. Notably, the result in regulation marked Dynamo Dos’ second clean sheet of the season, backed by four saves from goalkeeper Pedro Cruz, who was recently selected to participate in the third edition of Goalie Wars at the 2025 MLS All-Star Skills Challenge.

Houston will now aim to take the lead in the all-time season series against Rapids 2 on Sunday, with the series currently tied at three wins apiece.

Dynamo Dos currently sit ninth in the Western Conference with 22 points and a 5-6-4 (WLD) record.

Houston looks to bounce back this Sunday after a narrow 1-0 loss at St. Louis CITY2 last weekend. The match remained scoreless until the 86th minute, when Mykhi Joyner connected with Emil Jääskeläinen in the box for the match-winning goal. Cruz finished the match with six saves.

Colorado enters the match fourth in the Western Conference with 24 points and a 7-6-3 (WLD) record. Rapids 2 are coming off a 2-1 road loss to MNUFC2 on June 28, who scored early in the second minute and again in the 72nd. Colorado found a late spark, as a sequence starting with Malik Pinto ended in Mamadou Billo Diop scoring off a rebound in the box in second half stoppage time. Colton Swan leads the team’s attack with four goals and two assists.

Houston returns to SaberCats Stadium on Sunday, July 13, to host in-state rivals North Texas SC for their third and final meeting between the teams this season. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. CT, and fans can follow the action live on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV.
