HOUSTON (Sept. 21, 2026) – Houston Dynamo 2 have recalled goalkeeper Pedro Cruz from his loan to El Paso Locomotive FC, both teams announced today. As part of the original loan agreement, Dynamo 2 retained the right to recall the goalkeeper at any time.
Cruz’s three appearances with the USL Championship side resulted in victories, including a clean sheet win on the road versus Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC on Aug. 8.
The Brazilian shot stopper joined Dynamo 2 on a full transfer ahead of the 2025 season, and has now totaled 37 appearances, nine clean sheets and 152 saves. This year, he has recorded four shutouts and 48 saves to help Dos stay near the top of the Western Conference.
While fielding one of the youngest rosters in the league over the past three seasons, Dynamo 2 just wrapped up a strong regular season campaign, clinching their spot in the MLS NEXT Pro 2026 Playoffs after finishing fourth in the Western Conference with a 14-8-6 (W-L-D) record on 52 points. Dos will host their Conference Quarterfinal match on Sunday, Oct. 18. Additional info on the opponent and timing will be available later this week.
