Houston Dynamo 2 sign Isaiah Reid

Houston Dynamo 2 signed Isaiah Reid to MLS NEXT Pro contracts, the team announced today.

“We are excited to add two talented versatile players for the upcoming season,” Dynamo assistant general manager, Nick Kowba said after announcing the signing of Reid and also Omar Grey today. “Both players have characteristics that will translate well to the professional game. They join us from very successful college programs and we expect their winning mentality and recent success to positively impact our existing group. We look forward to seeing both develop into professionals under the guidance of our technical staff.”

Reid was drafted by Houston Dynamo FC with the No. 34 overall pick in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft from Clemson University. The forward won the 2022 Men’s College Cup with the Tigers and finished his collegiate career with 14 goals and four assists in 64 appearances for Clemson. 

Reid is a two-time NCAA national champion after scoring a brace in the 2021 national title game. He earned NCAA College Cup Offensive Most Outstanding Player honors following his performance in the title game. The midfielder is a product of the Charlotte Soccer Academy and attended South Pointe High School in Rock Hill, South Carolina.
