Houston is coming off a 2-2 home draw versus St. Louis CITY2 on Aug. 31 and claimed two points in the ensuing penalty shootout. The 18-year-old has made 14 appearances for Dos, while recording two goals and one assist. Notably, both are one of 11 Academy players who have made their professional debuts this year.

Two Academy players that play on Dynamo 2 returned from international duty earlier this week. Defender Daniel Barrett and Midfielder Mattheo Dimareli are back in Houston after reporting to training camp with the U.S. U-17 Men’s National Team for the September Identity Training Camp in Fayetteville, Ga. Dynamo 2 player David Garcia also returned from international duty with the Venezuela U-17 National Team, scoring one goal across four appearances in a series of international friendlies versus Honduras and Panama.

Billo Diop leads the team’s attack with 12 goals, while Antony Garcia and Sam Bassett are tied for first with five assists.

In their first matchup this year, Dynamo 2 earned their first penalty kick shootout victory of the year following a scoreless draw on May 9, edging Colorado 5-4 on penalty kicks. The result in regulation marked the team’s second clean sheet of the season, backed by four saves from goalkeeper Pedro Cruz. The two sides met again on July 6, where Dos fell 2-1 on the road.
