HOUSTON (June 5, 2026) – Following a bye week, the undefeated Houston Dynamo 2 head west to face Ventura County FC on Saturday, June 6, marking the first of two meetings between the clubs this season. Notably, Dynamo 2 will look to tie the longest unbeaten streak to start an MLS NEXT Pro season this weekend, a record currently held by Colorado Rapids 2, who opened the 2023 season unbeaten through 12 matches. Does currently have nine victories and two draws through 11 matches.
Additionally, the team will aim to even the all-time series against Ventura at two wins apiece on Saturday, with this weekend’s match marking the sixth matchup between the two sides since 2023.

Ventura County is coming off a 2-1 home victory over Vancouver Whitecaps FC 2, with Issak Luna and Eric Preston each scoring a goal. The team currently sits fifth in the Western Conference with 22 points and a 5-5-4 (WLD) record. They finished the month of May with a 2-3-1 (WLD) record, while Dylan Vanney currently leadsVentura’s attack with six goals.
Just this week, forward Jahmani “JJ” Bell was called up to represent the Jamaica’s U-20 national team in the Pre-World Cup Kick-Off games in Lauderhill, Fla. Additionally, Houston Dynamo FC recalled Homegrown goalkeeper Logan Erb from his loan to Corpus Christi FC. The rookie shot stopper recorded three appearances with the USL League One club, including a start in Group 3 of the USL Cup versus USL Championship side FC Tulsa. In December 2025, Erb became the 18th Dynamo Academy product to sign as a Homegrown Player with the first team after joining the Club at the age of 13.
