HOUSTON (May 8, 2026) – The undefeated Houston Dynamo 2 travel to Missouri to face St. Louis CITY2 on Saturday, May 9, marking the first of three meetings between the two sides this season. In a battle between the top two teams in the Western Conference tied on 23 points, Houston will look to defend its spot atop the standings, currently outpacing St. Louis on goal difference with a match in hand. Both teams are yet to lose a match in 2026.
Notably, in the midst of a league-record 10-match road stretch, Dynamo 2 earned three MLS NEXT Pro monthly honors for April, including interim head coach Jeremy Hurdle earning Coach of the Month and goalkeeper Pedro Cruz earning Goalkeeper of the Month in consecutive months, while the entire team was named MLS NEXT Pro Team of the Month for the first time this season.
