2015 is up and running for Dynamo Charities - In the Community

2015 is up and running for Dynamo Charities - In the Community -

The players have been hitting the field for a little over a month now, and only about two weeks until opening day (TICKETS).  We welcome a number of new faces, both on and off the field, and welcome back the players from last year, and those that left for a while but are also back in the fold. We wish all the players that left, as well as Dom, Steve and Tim, the best in their new endeavors (hoping they finish right behind the Dynamo every year).

Just as there are new and familiar faces on the team, there will be both new and familiar Dynamo Charities events and programs in 2015. This year already includes the third edition of the #HouseCHINGBuilt, where Brian and his friends come together to build a house with Habitat for Humanity. A big thank you to Dash players Haley Carter, Tiffany McCarty, Jordan Jackson, Bianca Henninger and Brittany Bock for coming out on Friday and hammering in a few bonus nails on the house. We look forward to having the Houston Dash participate in this project in the upcoming weeks.

We are looking forward to another fantastic BBVA Compass Dynamo Charities Cup and a series of community events leading into the game during Dynamo Charities Week. We want to see you golfing with the teams at the annual Tommy Bahama Island Golf Classic in April. And we will again be including Dash players and Dash events in our programs for 2015.

New events include big plans with Boniek García and other Dynamo and Dash players – stay tuned for details.  Maria Duran and her team are working hard behind the scenes to create our best year yet.

Lastly, we at Dynamo Charities have restructured to start the new year as well. A huge thank you to those Board members that have transitioned to the Executive Advisory Council for their past board work and (more importantly) for their commitment to stay connected through the Council. Their dedication and effort are the catalyst for our success.

In addition to the Council, we will again need your help as volunteers and supporters throughout the year to continue to increase and improve our community efforts. It is truly only with your help that we can continue #BuildingaBetterHouston.
