Houston Dynamo fans may see themselves in their favorite players beginning tonight as the Dynamo face Sporting Kansas City at Sporting Park. Starting tonight, and throughout August, Dynamo player jerseys will include the faces of season ticket members who submitted their photograph earlier this year. The Dynamo are part of a league-wide initiative, with all 20 MLS clubs participating in the jersey program.
Season ticket members submitted their photo and selected their preferred jersey number (0-9) and the location for their picture within the digit. Thousands of Dynamo supporters submitted photos and will be featured across the Dynamo jersey numbers this month.
Major League Soccer is the first league to utilize this platform, which is provided by Playing2. The Mexican National Team, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are among several teams in other countries that have previously used this platform in order to bring supporters closer to the game.
