DYNAMO HOME SCHEDULE NOTES
- The Dynamo will play their seventh season at BBVA Compass Stadium, meaning the club will have played in its new home longer than it did in its original venue, Robertson Stadium (2006-11).
- The Dynamo have an all-time record of 104-26-55 in Houston and are 54-19-29 all-time at BBVA Compass Stadium in MLS regular-season play.
- The Dynamo open the season with three of their first four matches at home.
- The Dynamo are scheduled to play 12 home matches on Saturdays and one each on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday.
- Only three Dynamo home games are scheduled to kick off before 7:30 p.m. Central Time. Houston will host Atlanta United FC at 2:30 p.m. CDT on Saturday, March 3, Vancouver on Saturday, March 10 at 5 p.m. CDT, Toronto FC on Saturday, April 21 at 2 p.m. CDT. Each of these kickoff times was dictated by national television – Univisión for the Atlanta match and Canadian television partners for the Vancouver and Toronto matches.
- The Dynamo will host the winners of every MLS Cup since 2008 during the 2018 season: Toronto (2018), Seattle (2016), Portland (2015), LA Galaxy (2014, 2012, 2011), Sporting Kansas City (2013), Colorado (2010), Real Salt Lake (2009) and Columbus (2008).
- The Dynamo will play back-to-back home matches three times during the course of the season after having five back-to-backs in 2017.
- Houston will host FC Dallas on Thursday, Aug. 23 as part of Heineken Rivalry Week.
- The Dynamo are scheduled to have three nationally-televised home matches in 2018: against Atlanta United FC on Saturday, March 3 (Univisión), against New York City FC on Friday, May 25 (UniMás) and against FC Dallas on Thursday, Aug. 23 (UniMás). All remaining home matches will be televised locally on KUBE 57.
- The Dynamo are scheduled to play home games on or around Spring Break (March 10 vs. Vancouver), Easter (March 31 vs. New England), Cinco de Mayo (May 5 vs. LA Galaxy), Memorial Day Weekend (May 25 vs. New York City FC) and the Fourth of July (July 3 vs. LAFC).
- The Dynamo will play three home games in March, one in April, two in May, one in June, four in July, three in August, two in September and one in October.
DYNAMO AWAY SCHEDULE NOTES
- The Dynamo could fly as many as 38,146 air miles during the 2018 regular season, assuming round-trip flights to all opposing team markets and a two-game trip to Real Salt Lake and Montreal May 30 and June 2.
- Based on the Dynamo’s typical travel habits for away games, the team could spend as many as 48 nights in hotels during the course of the season.
- Houston will play in three nationally-televised away matches: at New York Red Bulls on Saturday, April 7 (Univisión), at Chicago on Sunday, May 20 (UniMás) and at Portland on Saturday, July 28 (ESPN). All remaining away matches will be televised locally on KUBE 57.
- The Dynamo will finish the season by playing three of their last four games on the road, all of which will be on the West Coast.
- In 17 away matches, the Dynamo will visit 17 teams once each – all 11 Western Conference opponents and six Eastern Conference foes.
- Houston’s longest away trip will be to Vancouver, BC, Canada for a match on Friday, May 11. A direct flight from Houston to Vancouver is 1,971 miles and the estimated flight time four hours, 14 minutes.
- The Dynamo will play matches in 13 American states and two Canadian provinces during the 2017 season.
- The Dynamo are 39-92-64 all-time away from home and were 1-9-7 on the road in 2017.
- Houston will make their first appearance at Orlando City Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 22 and will make their first trip to LAFC’s Banc of California Stadium on Thursday, Oct. 18.
- Houston’s only match at FC Dallas will take place during Labor Day Weekend – Saturday, Sept. 1.
- The Dynamo will make two forays north of the border in 2018, visiting Vancouver on Friday, May 11 and Montreal on Sunday, June 2. Houston made two trips to Canada in 2017, visiting Vancouver and Toronto.
- Houston will play consecutive matches away from home four times in 2018, including two away games in five days when they play at Real Salt Lake on Wednesday, May 30 and at Montreal on Saturday, June 2.
- The Dynamo will play one away match in March, three in April, three in May, two in June, two in July, one in August, two in September and three in October.
