Join Diesel's Readers

Houston Dynamo FC and the Houston Dash are committed to promoting the importance of education and literacy among elementary and middle school students in the Houston area. Diesel’s Readers was created to reward students for furthering their education by reading outside of the classroom. Parents and schools in and around the Houston area are encouraged to register their students today!

  • Diesel’s Readers begins Friday, April 1st, and runs through Saturday, April 30th
  • Each participant will receive their free ticket via email on Monday, May 2nd
  • The top three schools with the most books read will be announced on Wednesday, May 4th

Diesel’s Readers is a four-week program that encourages students to read five (5) age-appropriate books approved by their librarian or parent/guardian. Once all five books are read, a parent or guardian will complete the form above to document their student's participation in the program. Each student will receive a certificate of completion via email once the form is submitted. This certificate contains a QR Code where the student and parents can redeem their free ticket. This program will run multiple times throughout the year, so check back later to participate in our next one too!

Upon completion, each student is eligible to receive a free Houston Dynamo FC or Houston Dash ticket with the purchase of an adult ticket to select Houston Dynamo FC and Houston Dash games.

  • Each Librarian that has 25 students from their school participate, will receive two free tickets to a Dynamo FC or Houston Dash game.

-The top three schools with the most books read at the end of the program may choose one of the following prizes:

  • A behind-the-scenes tour of PNC Stadium and a pizza party for up to 50 students.
  • A school assembly with Diesel, the Houston Dynamo and Houston Dash mascot.
  • A personalized jersey with the name of the school on the back.
