HOUSTON (Aug. 7, 2026) – Houston Dynamo 2 signed 20-year-old Brazilian midfielder Vitor André on a free transfer from Brazilian top-flight’s SE Palmeiras, both club’s announced today. The youngster is signed to an MLS NEXT Pro contract through June 2027.

Dynamo 2 plays a critical role in bridging potential to performance, and we look forward to accelerating his development within our system.”
André arrives in Houston after progressing through the youth ranks of Brazilian soccer, making his mark with Ituano Fuetbol Clube (2021-22) and Série A giants SE Palmeiras (2022-26).André first made 12 appearances for Ituano FC's academy, featuring in eight matches for the club's U-17 squad and four for the U-20s before joining Palmeiras in 2022.
André became a regular for Palmeiras' U-17 and U-20 squads, totaling 75 appearances and four goals across both levels. In his first season with the club, the midfielder featured in 32 matches for the U-17s and helped them win the Campeonato Brasileiro U-17, Copa do Brasil U-17 and Campeonato Paulista U-17. He scored his first goal for Verdão on April 27, 2022, in a dominant 10-1 victory versus Saint Germain-RO.
The Brazilian youngster earned 25 appearances and scored one goal with the U-20s in 2023, helping the team capture the Campeonato Paulista U-20 title. In 2024, André added another trophy to his cabinet, making 18 appearances and scoring once as Palmeiras won the Campeonato Brasileiro U-20.
