Dash players shake it up in the second round of FIFA Women's World Cup group play

Allysha Chapman, Sophie Schmidt and Nichelle Prince took on Ireland on Wednesday, July 26. Midfielder Sophie Schmidt entered the match in the 46th minute. Eight minutes later, Schmidt assisted the game-winning goal in Canada’s 2-1 win over Ireland. Defender Allysha Chapman came off the bench in stoppage time of the second half to close out the game.

Canada will play Australia on Monday, July 30 in a decisive match to wrap up the tournament.

Forward Michelle Alozie and Nigeria stunned co-hosts Australia with a 3-2 win. Alozie played the full match, placing Nigeria at the top of their group.

Nigeria closes out group play on Monday, July 30 against Ireland.
