HOUSTON (Aug. 19, 2026) - The Houston Dash midfielder Linda Ullmark will represent the United States at the upcoming 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup after being named to the U.S. Under-20 Women’s National Team roster by head coach Vicky Jepson earlier today.
The 12th edition of the tournament is scheduled to take place from Sept. 5-27 across Poland, with the U.S. set to open group play on Sept. 6 against Italy in Łódź. The Americans will remain in Łódź for their second group-stage match against Japan on Sept. 9 before facing New Zealand on Sept. 12 in Sosnowiec.
Ullmark has earned seven caps and scored six goals for the U.S. U-20 Women’s National Team. She made her U-20 debut at the 2025 Concacaf Women’s U-20 Championship in Costa Rica, recording two goals and two assists in four matches and earning Best XI honors as the United States qualified for the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
The midfielder enters the tournament in the midst of a standout rookie campaign with the Dash. Ullmark has started all 19 matches she has played this season, recording two goals and three assists. She made her professional debut in the first match of the season on March 14 against San Diego Wave FC.
The 20-year-old was named NWSL Rookie of the Month, presented by Ally, for July after helping Houston earn five points across four matches following the FIFA World Cup break. She recorded an assist against the Washington Spirit on July 3 before scoring her first NWSL goal and adding an assist in a 2-2 draw against Denver Summit FC on July 12. Ullmark then capped the month with a dramatic stoppage-time game-winning goal against Bay FC on July 24 at Shell Energy Stadium.
A standout collegiate career at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill preceded Ullmark’s arrival in Houston, where she recorded 13 goals and 10 assists across 48 appearances. Ullmark played an integral role in UNC’s 2024 NCAA Women’s Soccer National Championship run, earning NCAA Tournament All-Tournament Team honors after scoring three goals in the first three rounds of the tournament to help secure the program’s first national title in 12 years.
The Dash signed Ullmark through the 2029 NWSL season on Jan. 13, 2026. She will depart for the tournament following Houston’s match against Seattle Reign FC on Sunday, Aug. 30.
