HOUSTON (Aug. 25, 2026) - The Houston Dash and midfielder Danny Colaprico agreed to a new contract through the 2027 NWSL season with a mutual option for 2028, the club announced today.
“Danny has embraced what we are building in Houston and brings a level of experience and perspective that is extremely valuable to our group,” said Angela Hucles Mangano, President of Women’s Soccer. “She understands what it takes to compete in this league and is willing to share that knowledge with the players around her. Her ability to read the game, manage moments and set a standard in our daily environment makes her an important part of what we are building in Houston. We’re pleased to have Danny continue with the Dash and look forward to her influence on this team in the seasons ahead.”
Colaprico has appeared in 47 matches for Houston since joining the club ahead of the 2025 season, earning 45 starts. The midfielder has been a key contributor in the Dash midfield in 2026, tallying two assists through the first half of the season. Colaprico recorded her first assist of the season in Houston’s 4-3 victory over Racing Louisville FC on April 3, setting up Kiki Van Zanten for Houston’s second goal of the match. She added her second assist on May 22, finding Maggie Graham in the build-up to the game-winning goal in Houston’s 2-1 victory over Angel City FC.

The midfielder reached 200 regular-season appearances in 2025, becoming the sixth player in league history to reach the milestone. She made her 200th regular season start on May 9, 2026, becoming the fourth player in league history to reach the milestone. She also surpassed 15,000 career minutes and was the only Dash player to appear in every match during the 2025 season.
The New Jersey native joined the Dash following two seasons with San Diego Wave FC. Colaprico made 45 appearances for the Wave and helped the club reach the semifinals of the 2023 NWSL playoffs. She won the NWSL Shield in 2023 and the NWSL Challenge Cup in 2024 with San Diego.
Colaprico began her professional career with Chicago Stars FC after being selected by the club in the first round of the 2015 NWSL Draft. She spent eight seasons with Chicago, making more than 200 appearances across all competitions. During her time with the club, she was named to the NWSL Second XI in three consecutive seasons from 2015-2017 and earned NWSL Rookie of the Year honors in 2015. She also spent time on loan with Adelaide United and Sydney FC, helping Sydney win the 2018-19 W-League Championship.
