HOUSTON (March 20, 2026) - The Houston Dash return to Shell Energy Stadium on Saturday for their home opener, powered by Shell Energy, as they host Boston Legacy FC in the first of 15 matches in front of their home fans this season. The organization anticipates the largest home crowd for a Dash match since 2022, and tickets for the upper bowl are now available for $15. Fans in attendance will receive a 2026 Dash Season Passport, a collectible designed for autographs and stamps throughout the season.
Houston enters the home opener following a gritty 1-0 victory on opening weekend, defeating San Diego Wave FC on the road. The result marked the club’s first win on opening weekend since 2017 and the first time the Dash earned a road victory to begin the season. The team also saw four first-year players make their professional debuts, the most in a season opener in the post-pandemic era.
Midfielder Maggie Graham played a key role in the season-opening victory, tallying her first assist of the season after her long ball found forward Makenzy Robbe near the top of the box. Robbe converted the opportunity for her first goal with the club, becoming the first player in NWSL history to score the game-winning goal on her regular-season debut for her new team against her former club.
In goal, caption Jane Campbell recorded nine saves and earned her 43rd regular season clean sheet, the fifth most in league history. Saturday will mark Campbell’s 10th home opener with the club. Graham and Campbell were both recognized for their performances this week with Graham nominated for Assist of the Week, while Campbell earned nominations for both Player of the Week and Save of the Week honors.
Boston enters Saturday’s match following a loss in their inaugural match, falling 1-0 to NJ/NY Gotham FC in front of a crowd of 30,207 fans, the largest attendance for an expansion team opener in league history. As one of two expansion sides competing in their first NWSL season, Boston will look to rebound and secure the first points in club history after a match that saw Bianca St-Georges earn two yellow cards. She will be unavailable for selection this week.
Saturday’s match also marks the return of two former Houston Dash players. Katy, Texas native Barbara Olivieri returns to Houston after appearing in 44 matches for the Dash across three seasons, tallying six goals and four assists before joining Boston ahead of the 2026 campaign. Nichelle Prince also returns after spending seven seasons with the Dash from 2017-2023, where she made 88 regular season appearances and helped the club lift the 2020 NWSL Challenge Cup.
The Dash next travel to BMO Stadium to face Angel City FC on Friday, March 27 at 9 p.m. CT and return to Shell Energy Stadium on Friday, April 3 to host Racing Louisville for the first of two Pups at the Pitch matches this season. Tickets for that match and all Houston Dash matches are available HERE via Tixr, the Club’s new official ticket provider.
