HOUSTON (May 29, 2025) - The Houston Dash announced its slate of Pride Month events and activations throughout the city, including its annual Pride Night at Shell Energy Stadium on June 13. This match will celebrate local members of Houston's vibrant LGBTQ+ community and additional information about all Pride Month events will be available HERE.
The Dash will host San Diego Wave FC for its annual Pride match at 7 p.m. CT on Friday, June 13. Festivities include Pride-themed merchandise plus photo opportunities throughout the venue. Pride-inspired car magnets will be available to the first fans to enter the venue on June 13. Fan-favorite activations like the Dash Bash Salon and Friendship Bracelet station will also feature Pride-inspired designs. The Dash hosted its first Pride Night in 2016, and the organization has collaborated with local LGBTQ+ organizations for more than a decade.
Ticket bundles are also available for the match on June 13 and include an all-inclusive ticket with access to the Pride Party in the East Club with a live DJ. Fans can also choose between a signature Pride-inspired drink ticket package or a bundle that includes a drink and hot dog. Updates and additional information for all Pride packages will be available HERE.
The first of six Pride events is scheduled for later today at the LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce’s Rainbow Market beginning at 5 p.m. CT at Eureka Heights Brewery with a meet and greet with Dash midfielder Delanie Sheehan and forward Yazmeen Ryan. Today’s event will also feature the launch of the Play with Pride design that was created by local artist, Wyntress X’ion. The Play with Pride design will be featured on a limited-edition t-shirt and additional Pride merchandise.
The Play with Pride design is a tribute to women, queer athletes and allies who show up and take space. X’ion is a Houston native and self-taught artist known for experimenting with different mediums such as fabric, canvas, oil sticks, acrylic and spray paint. Her work uses relics that signify Black women’s impact on humanity and Black people seeing themselves as art.
The Dash will host elected officials, local businesses and the LGBTQ+ Chamber of Commerce at 4 p.m. CT on Monday, June 2 to raise the Pride flag at Shell Energy Stadium. This is the second year that the venue has hosted this event and media interested in covering the event can RSVP with Edgar Veliz at EVeliz@HoustonDash.com.
The organization will host two events at Pearl Bar and its sister bar, Side Peace Sports Bar, during Pride Month. The first is the annual Pride Kickoff, which features player appearances, bingo, and Pride-themed prizes. Fans can register for bingo HERE. Fans are also invited to visit Side Peace Sports Bar on June 7 for a watch party as the team travels to Florida to face the Orlando Pride at 6 p.m. CT.
The Dash will also join Pride Houston for the 47th annual official Pride Parade on Saturday, June 28. Festivities start earlier in the day at the Pride Festival and additional information about the event is available HERE.
