PORTLAND, Ore. (Sep. 26, 2026) – The Houston Dash earned a point following a 1-1 draw with Portland Thorns FC at Providence Park earlier today. Today’s result snapped a two-game losing streak at Providence Park and this was the first point earned in Oregon since the 2023 season.
Houston took the lead in the 10th minute after forward Kate Faasse found Kat Rader at the edge of the box. The Duke University alum beat the Thorns goalkeeper to the ball and found the back of the net for her 10th goal of the season. Rader is the first player since Rachel Daly (2018) to score 10 or more goals in a single season for the Dash and the third player in team history to reach that milestone.
Portland Thorns FC leveled the match in the 85th minute after Marie Müller finished a right-footed effort from inside the box for her second goal of the season.
Dash captain Jane Campbell came up with a key save in the 45th minute, denying Sophia Wilson on an effort from inside the box. Campbell finished with four saves on the night and now has 108 this season, putting her five saves shy of matching her league record of 113 saves in a single season.
Dash midfielder Linda Ullmark returned from international duty in tonight’s game and made her first appearance since the road match against Seattle on Aug. 30. The University of North Carolina product joined the U.S. U-20 Women’s National Team in Europe for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup. The midfielder started all four matches for the U.S. and recorded one goal and two assists during the tournament.
Campbell was called into action again in the 62nd minute to make a point-blank save on Reilyn Turner at the edge of the six-yard-box.
Forward Khyah Harper nearly doubled Houston’s lead in the 84th minute after firing an effort that struck the near post.
The Dash return to Shell Energy Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 4 to host the Washington Spirit for the second Pups at the Pitch match of the season. Tickets for the match are available HERE
