Houston Dash defender Allysha Chapman, midfielder Sophie Schmidt and forward Nichelle Prince will join the Canadian Women’s National Team for a pair of international friendlies, the Federation announced today.

Canada’s Celebration Tour commemorates the triumph at the 2020 Tokyo Olympic games last summer when the program earned their first gold medal in the sport. Chapman, Schmidt and Prince have won back-to-back medals with Canada after winning the bronze medal at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio. The Dash Canadian trio will join the national team following Houston’s April 2 match in Bridgeview, Illinois against the Chicago Red Stars.

Canada will host Nigeria on April 8 in the first of two matches against Nigeria in Vancouver, British Columbia. Kickoff is slated for 9:30 p.m. CT at BC Place Stadium. Three days later the two teams will meet again at Starlight Stadium in Langford, British Columbia at 9:30 CT.

Champman has 87 career appearances and 69 starts for Canada, along with three assists and a goal. Schmidt has 210 career caps and 192 starts for the CanWNT. Prince has made 78 appearances, 40 starts and scored 13 goals for Canada.
