Dynamo Fans,

On behalf of the club, welcome to the 2018 season!

We enter our 13th season with strong momentum, coming off a successful 2017 campaign that included a run to the Western Conference Final. We are a young, diverse and dynamic team. Under second-year coach Wilmer Cabrera, we are looking to build off of last year’s success behind a roster that is representative of our city with hard-working players hailing from 10 different countries.

The high-scoring attack is led by Honduran wingers Alberth Elis and Romell Quioto, Colombian striker Mauro Manotas and Argentine playmaker Tomás Martínez. These four players, at an average age of 23, combined to score 28 goals last year. They will look to increase that total in 2018.

The roster has a hometown flavor to it with midfielder Arturo Alvarez (Mayde Creek HS), midfielder Memo Rodriguez(El Campo HS), and goalkeeper Michael Nelson (Seven Lakes HS).

Alvarez and Nelson are new acquisitions, along with midfielder Darwin Cerén, defender Alejandro Fuenmayor, goalkeeper Chris Seitz, and forwardMac Steeves.

We believe we have assembled an exciting team to watch and a group of players you will be proud to support.

Because we are always looking to the future, we continue to make investments into BBVA Compass Stadium. This season, you will recognize more improvements to best serve your needs. They include:

  • Upgrades to all of the concessions stands around the east, west and north side of the concourse.
  • Additions of four permanent food and beverage service areas inside each of the main entry gates.
  • Addition of the Pitchside Patio, a private group area on the field level behind the south goal.
  • Replacement of all premium seats, including President’s Club, Club and Suite areas.
  • Improvements to the Stadium Club, which will be re-branded as the Audi Sport Club.

The new concessions stands will bring a noticeably fresh, energetic look, faster service, and higher quality food to the stadium. These improvements follow the successful launch of the Taste of EaDo,a project that brought similar value to the venue and experience in 2017.

In each corner of the concourse, fans will experience newly added service options. They feature a variety of specialized offerings and socializing points, including a kids’ corner, a mini self-serve market, a beer trough, and a frozen drink wall.

We think you are going to love the new look and enjoy the improved service.

We have a great home schedule with some of the league’s biggest teams and stars set to come into our house where we had an impressive 12-1-4 regular-season record in 2017. The most anticipated matches will be when our rivals from FC Dallas visit two times in 2018.

Our games will continue to be broadcast on KUBE Channel 57. We return to the KUBE after a successful first season where we saw a big jump in the ratings. On radio our games will air in English, on Sports Radio 610, CBS Sports Radio 650, 95.7 HD-3, and Radio.com; and all games are on Univision Deportes Radio 1010 AM in Spanish.

Lastly, and as always, we will continue to give back to the community we call home. Through our non-profit arm Dynamo Charities and alongside our gracious players, we will be involved in several efforts and campaigns to support the people of Houston. We invite you to join us at our second-annual Foot Golf Tournament, at our annual DynaBowl event and at a few other events that we’re excited to announce later this year. Stay tuned for more details on what Dynamo Charities has in store this year!

I look forward to seeing your passion at BBVA Compass Stadium this year, beginning Saturday at 2:30 p.m. as we take on Atlanta United FC. Thank you for your support. Together, we are FOREVER ORANGE.
