Kickoff for Houston Dynamo match at FC Dallas on August 23 moved to 7 p.m. CDT

The kickoff time for the Houston Dynamo’s match at FC Dallas on Wednesday, August 23 at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas has been moved up to 7 p.m. CDT, the clubs and Major League Soccer announced today.


The match, originally scheduled for 8 p.m. CDT, will be broadcast nationally on UniMás (KFTH 67 in Houston | Channel Listings) and streamed on Facebook Live. The kickoff time was moved up by an hour in order to accommodate an additional national broadcast on UniMás that will start at 9 p.m.


Dynamo fans will also be able to listen to the game on CBS Sports Radio 95.7 HD3 in English and KLAT 1010 AM in Spanish.


This will be the third meeting of the season between the Dynamo and FC Dallas. The clubs played to a scoreless draw on May 28 in Frisco and to a 1-1 draw on June 23 in Houston. The regular season finale will determine who will take possession of El Capitán, the Texas Revolutionary War-era cannon that is awarded to the winner of the regular season series each year.


The Dynamo host the San Jose Earthquakes this Saturday, August 12, at 8 p.m. at BBVA Compass Stadium. Houston is currently tied for second in the MLS Western Conference with 34 points and a 9-7-7 record with 11 games remaining in the season.
