The Houston Dynamo Academy combined for five victories after sweeping Dynamo Unidos on Tuesday and the RGV FC Academy on Saturday at Houston Sports Park.
Gael Gonzalez scored in the final minutes of the opening match with Dynamo Unidos to give the Dynamo Academy U-13 squad a 2-1 victory on Tuesday. Salem Sharif scored the Dynamo Academy’s first goal of the game.
The U-14 Dynamo Academy squad finished the series with a 6-0 victory over Dynamo Unidos with a pair of braces from Osagie Akhigbe and Jaidyn Contreras along with goals from Mateo Clark and Cooper Yi.
Lalito Moreno found Andre Gitau on a counterattack for the only goal of the first half in the U-15 showdown with RGV FC on Saturday. The Dynamo Academy exploded for four additional goals in the second half courtesy of Jacob Grossman and Parker Jackson to secure three points and a 5-1 triumph.
Joseph Farouz scored a brace in Houston’s 4-2 victory over RGV in the U-17 match at Houston Sports Park on Saturday. Reese Miller and Ronaldo Guzman added a goal of their own as the Dynamo earned their second victory of the series with RGV on Saturday.
Juan Castilla and the U-19 squad earned a clean sheet against RGV in their 3-0 triumph to close the series with the Toros. Castilla, Jathan Juarez and Kieran Sargeant scored for the Dynamo.
Four Dynamo Academy squads are active in MLS Next action this week as the U-13 and U-14 squads face Total Football Club on Wednesday. The U-15 Dynamo Academy side will face Dynamo Unidos on Wednesday and the U-17 squad will visit San Antonio FC on Saturday.
