HOUSTON (Aug. 28, 2025) - The Houston Dash travel to Lynn Family Stadium on Friday, Aug. 29, to take on Racing Louisville FC. With nine matches remaining in the regular season, the Dash sit two points behind the eighth and final playoff spot. Kickoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. CT, and fans can follow the match live on NWSL+.
The team enters the weekend unbeaten in their last four matches and looking to extend a strong run of form since league play resumed on Aug. 2. The team has claimed eight points in that stretch with key contributions from players on both sides of the ball. Houston split points last week against Seattle Reign FC in a 1-1 draw. Forward Yazmeen Ryan opened the scoring with her second goal of the season after she won the ball at the edge of the box to dribble past Seattle’s backline and slotted the ball past the goalkeeper.
Sunday’s match also marked the NWSL debut of forward Clarissa Larisey, who entered in the second half and made an immediate impact. The 26-year-old combined with forward Evelina Duljan in the final minutes of the match to force a key save from Seattle’s goalkeeper.
Defensively, the Dash will be tasked with containing a Louisville attack led by Savannah DeMelo and Emma Sears, who have combined for 10 goals this season. Houston will aim to secure their third clean sheet of the season and first since May. Goalkeeper Jane Campbell, who ranks second in NWSL history with 40 career shutouts, will anchor a backline led by defender Paige Nielsen, who leads the team in clearances with 103, and defender Natalie Jacobs, who tallies 27 interceptions.
Racing Louisville FC return home following a three-match road stretch, capped off by a 1-0 victory over San Diego Wave FC on Sunday. The result marked their fourth road win of the season and extended their unbeaten streak to three matches. Sears scored the lone goal for Louisville which marked her seventh of the season, setting a new club record for most regular-season goals. Louisville currently sits seventh in the standings and is aiming for their first-ever NWSL playoff appearance.
The Dash fell 2-1 at Shell Energy Stadium in the last meeting between the two sides on May 2 in a match that featured substantial weather delays. Defender Avery Patterson netted her first goal of the season in that game. Houston holds a 2-2-4 (W-D-L) record against Louisville in regular-season play and the Dash look to close the gap in the series and secure all three points as they continue their push for a playoff berth.
Houston travel to Snapdragon Stadium on Sunday, Sept. 7, to take on San Diego Wave FC in the second of three consecutive road games. Fans can watch the action live at 7:30 p.m. CT on ESPN, ESPN Deportes, or stream it on ESPN+. The team returns to Shell Energy Stadium to celebrate Noche Latina on Friday, Sept. 19 when they host Chicago Stars FC. Tickets for that match and all Dash matches are available at HoustonDash.com.
