Patterson captured the club’s Newcomer of the Year honor in 2024 after emerging as a cornerstone of the Dash backline in her rookie season. The University of North Carolina product led the team with 2,073 minutes and 28 appearances across all competitions, while adding two assists and netting her first professional goal in the regular-season finale against Bay FC on Nov. 2. Houston selected Patterson with its first pick in the 2024 NWSL Draft, and she quickly validated that decision with a steady, composed presence throughout the year.

She followed that campaign with an even stronger 2025 season, starting all 21 matches in which she appeared and logged 1,827 minutes. The defender contributed three goals and two assists, earning team Most Valuable Player honors and finishing as a finalist for the 2025 NWSL Defender of the Year award.

Patterson’s growth also translated to the international stage. She earned her first U.S. Women’s National Team cap on April 5, 2025, and recorded her first international goal in a 4-0 victory over the Republic of Ireland on June 27.

Latest transaction: Signed a three-year contract extension through the 2027 season on December 5, 2024.

Dash Debut: March 23, 2024, at home against Racing Louisville FC.
