Van Zanten joined the Houston Dash after being selected 21st overall in the 2024 NWSL Draft out of the University of Notre Dame. The Buffalo Grove, Illinois native appeared in 95 collegiate matches, contributing 39 goals and earning multiple honors, including First Team All-ACC (2023), ACC All-Academic Team(2021–2023), and United Soccer Coaches Third Team All-Region (2022). She made four appearances and earned one start for Houston before suffering a foot injury in the team’s match against the Washington Spirit in April 2024.
In the 2025 season, Van Zanten returned from injury to play in 17 matches, logging 1,113 minutes. She scored her first NWSL goal on August 2, 2025, in Houston’s 2-2 draw with Bay FC and finished the season with two goals and two assists.
At the international level, Van Zanten made her senior debut for Jamaica on February 17, 2022. She scored her first international goal against Costa Rica, helping Jamaica secure third place at the 2022 CONCACAF W Championship. On November 29, 2025, she netted her first hat-trick during the 2026 CONCACAF W Championship qualifiers.
