HOUSTON (Sep. 7, 2026) – Houston Dynamo FC defender Lucas Halter was named to the MLSSoccer.com Team of the Matchday for Matchday 24, the league announced today. The honor marks the Brazilian defender's first selection of the season.Â

The Dynamo earned their 11th clean sheet of the season on Saturday night, ending the evening in a scoreless draw on the road at Eastern Conference opponent Charlotte FC. The 11 clean sheets are the second-most in a single season in Houston Dynamo history. The point gained keeps Houston in second place in the Western Conference, just three points behind top-seeded Vancouver at full-time.Â

Halter was terrific in the match, winning all three of his defensive challenges on the evening, completing 92% of his passes from open play, and advancing phase of possession 76 times. On the season, Halter’s passing percentage has now reached 90% and he has completed 27 defensive challenges.Â

The Dynamo return home on Wednesday, Sept. 9, to host Western Conference Opponents Real Salt Lake, with kickoff scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT at Shell Energy Stadium.
