Houston Dynamo 2 announced that Daniel Roberts will serve as the interim head coach following the transition of Kenny Bundy to interim head coach of Houston Dynamo FC. Roberts will be available to media today at 1 p.m. for a virtual media availability.
Additionally, Houston Dynamo Academy U-15 head coach Jeremy Hurdle will join the Dynamo 2 technical staff as an assistant coach. Goalkeeper coach Jason Grubb remains with the team along with strength and conditioning coach Richard Moore and sports scientist Ai Ishida.
Dynamo 2 clinched a spot in the inaugural MLS NEXT Pro playoffs with a 1-0 win over St. Louis CITY 2 last Sunday night at AVEVA Stadium. Heading into this weekend, Dynamo 2 are tied for second in the Western Conference with 46 points through 22 of 24 matches.
Dynamo 2 travel to Denver this weekend to face Colorado Rapids 2 before returning to AVEVA Stadium on Sept. 18 to host North Texas SC for the final game of the regular season.
