The Houston Dynamo earned the top spot among Houston-area teams in the 2017 J.D. Power Fan Experience Study, the consumer insight company announced today.

A year after finishing second to the Houston Rockets in the inaugural study, the Dynamo took the top spot in the survey that measured fan satisfaction with their overall experience at major pro sporting events. The Houston Astros finished second, while the Rockets slipped to third and the Houston Texans took fourth.

Fan satisfaction is evaluated across seven factors (in order of importance): seating area and game experience; security and ushers; leaving the game; arriving at the game; food and beverage; ticket purchase; and souvenirs and merchandise. Satisfaction is measured on a 1,000-point scale. Additional factors that are measured but not included in the official ranking are loyalty and future intentions; team performance (on-field); and team image.

This year's study was measured across 11 markets: Houston, New York, Southern California, Chicago, Bay Area, Boston, Dallas/Fort Worth, Denver, Philadelphia, South Florida, and Washington, D.C. The Dynamo, New York Red Bulls, LA Galaxy, New England Revolution, and Philadelphia Union each claimed the top spot in their respective markets to represent MLS.

While we at the Dynamo are obviously thrilled to receive this prestigious award, we are always looking for ways to improve our fan experience. If you have comments or suggestions about what you love or what you'd like to improve at Dynamo games, send us a note at info@houstondynamo.com.
