At long last, the wait is over. Héctor Herrera has finally landed in H-Town, with El Zorro receiving a Texas-sized welcome at George Bush Intercontinental Airport on Wednesday evening.
With Herrera slated to join the team Friday morning for his first training session at Houston Sports Park, there’s plenty of events for the newest and biggest star on the Texas sports scene to be seen this upcoming week.
Introductory Press Conference: Flanked by owner Ted Segal, GM Pat Onstad, and head coach Paulo Nagamura, Héctor will be introduced to the city at PNC Stadium on Friday afternoon at 1 p.m.. Fans are encouraged to tune-in live to the press conference on Facebook.
Bienvenido HH Party at Post Houston: First he’s introduced to the media, then he’s introduced to you – the fans. In a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, you can see Texas’ new superstar at The Post Houston on Friday night, starting at 8pm. Héctor is expected to address the crowd at 9pm, and we’ll keep the party going until 11pm.
