Houston Dynamo FC announce fan events for Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup final

Houston Dynamo FC announced activations scheduled for the upcoming 2023 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup final on Wednesday, September 27 at DRV PNK Stadium in Florida.Ā 

Houston Dynamo Football Club will host a tailgate for fans traveling to the final on Sept. 27. Festivities begin at 6:00 p.m. ET in the Orange Lot of DRV PNK Stadium. Food, refreshments and tailgate activities will be open to all Dynamo fans traveling for the match. The tailgate will culminate with a march to the venue for the final. Pitch 25 will host the official watch part on Sept. 27 starting at 7 p.m. CT. The watch party will feature Diesel, photo opportunities with the 2018 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup trophy, drink specials and giveaways. Additionally, watch parties will be available throughout the greater Houston area as part of the Clubā€™s Pub Partners program. A full list of participating locations is available HERE.

The Dynamo, who won the U.S. Open Cup title in 2018, reached this yearā€™s final after defeating Real Salt Lake 3-1 in extra time at Shell Energy Stadium on August 23. Captain HĆ©ctor Herrera opened scoring in first-half stoppage time, while Panamanian international Adalberto ā€œCocoā€ Carrasquilla and midfielder LuĆ­s Caicedo both found the back of the net in extra time.

Houston continues its resurgent season with key matches following Wednesdayā€™s final, the team currently sits inside the MLS playoff line in fourth place in the Western Conference. Along with reaching the U.S. Open Cup Final and qualifying for the 2024 Concacaf Champions Cup, the Dynamo made a run to the quarterfinals of the inaugural Leagues Cup last month.

Fans nationwide can watch English language coverage of the match on Paramount+ and CBS Sports Network, as well as pre- and post-match coverage. Telemundo, a free, over-the-air TV channel, will provide Spanish-language coverage of the grand finale. Fans will also be able to watch the match on Universo and Peacock, which will both provide a 30-minute, Spanish-language pregame show. Spanish-language audio coverage will be available nationwide on FĆŗtbol de Primera radio.
