HOUSTON (Aug. 15, 2026) – Houston Dynamo FC earned their fourth consecutive clean sheet victory with a 1-0 win versus the LA Galaxy in front of a sold-out crowd at Shell Energy Stadium tonight.
Notably, tonight’s result marked the first time in Dynamo history that the team has recorded four consecutive clean sheet victories. Houston is also the hottest team in the Western Conference over the past 13 matches, compiling a 9-2-2 record for 29 points over that stretch, while being undefeated over the last seven matches.
On the defensive front, the Dynamo have not conceded a goal in 372 minutes, the second-longest streak for the Dynamo over the past decade.
Houston took the lead in the 21st minute when attacker Guilherme converted from the penalty spot for his 19th goal contribution (12th goal) of the season. The penalty was earned after forward Lawrence Ennali was fouled in the box.
Guilherme has now scored or assisted on 67.9% of Houston's goals this season, the highest in MLS so far, and he is pursuing the all-time single-season record set by Sebastien Le Toux in 2010 for the Philadelphia Union at 71.4%.
On a milestone note, midfielder Ondřej Lingr made his 50th appearance in orange across all competitions.
In the 58th minute, Los Angeles were reduced to 10 men, as Ennali was taken down just outside the 18-yard box. Emiro Garces pulled Ennali down on the break and was judged to have denied an obvious goal-scoring opportunity, earning a straight red card.
Late into stoppage time, forward Aliyu Ibrahim was shown two yellow cards within two minutes to earn a red card.
