HOUSTON (Oct. 24, 2026) – Houston Dynamo FC played Minnesota United to a scoreless draw at Shell Energy Stadium on Saturday night. The point moves Houston even with the San Jose Earthquakes with 48 points, fourth-most in the Western Conference, and leaving the Dynamo in fifth on tiebreakers.
The result marked Houston’s 12th clean sheet as a team this season and goalkeeper Jonathan Bond’s 11th, while 12 regular season shutouts are just one off the all-time Club record of 13 set in 2007 and 2023.
Goalkeeper Jonathan Bond was called into action in the 13th minute, when Nectarios Triantis received a ball over the top into the box, but the charging veteran shot stopper’s outspread arms corralled the danger.
Bond stepped up again in the 40th minute, diving low to his left to catch the shot of Kelvin Yeboah with both hands. The Englishman ended the night with five saves.
Bond was called into action again in first half stoppage time when a header into the ground from Anthony Markanich was kept out by the swinging paw of the goalkeeper, followed immediately by another crucial block by forward Lyle Foster.
Early in the second half, it was Bond once again, as Minnesota sprung the counter down the right side. A centering pass found the foot of Yeboah, but Bond dove low to claim the attempt and keep the score level. Just a few moments later, Bond made yet another diving stop – this one high from Aziel Jackson – to stay level.
The Dynamo earned a real chance in the 65th minute, as forward Lawrence Ennali strode past defenders along the right side of the pitch before sending a high cross toward the back post. The substitute Duncan McGuire was first to it, but his header went just wide of frame.
The Dynamo open a two-match road trip on Wednesday, Oct. 28, first visiting Seattle Sounders FC before facing off against the Timbers on Sunday, Nov. 1. Fans can follow both matches live via MLS on Apple TV.
