Introducing the Newly Rebranded PNC Stadium

PNC Stadium Herader

As part of PNC’s recent acquisition of BBVA USA, the bank secured naming rights to the home of the Houston Dash and Houston Dynamo football clubs. The facility, now known as PNC Stadium, already has undergone interior and exterior signage changes to reflect the new brand.

Through its Main Street model, PNC Bank is organized around its customers and communities to help all move forward financially. With the acquisition of BBVA USA, the bank’s presence locally and its commitment to Houston will only continue to accelerate.

As part of the stadium name change, PNC hosted the popular annual Fan Appreciation Day celebrations for the final Dash and Dynamo home matches. The Dash played their final regular-season home match Oct. 17, against the Portland Thorns. The Dynamo concluded their regular season with a match Sunday, Oct. 31, against the Colorado Rapids.

PNC also collaborated with the Dynamo to host one final edition of the popular 713 Night series during the Oct. 31, match, giving fans one more opportunity to secure $7 tickets and enjoy $1 hot dogs and $3 beers throughout the match. The stadium opened May 12, 2012 and is currently home to Houston Dynamo FC, the Houston Dash and the Texas Southern University football team.

The stadium has established itself as the premier facility in America for international soccer matches and has hosted nearly 20 different international soccer clubs, more than 30 men’s and women’s national soccer teams and 17 men’s and women’s national rugby teams. Designed by the architecture firm Populous, PNC Stadium has a capacity of 22,039, including 34 luxury suites, 1,100 club seats and a premium lounge.

In December 2012, the facility was awarded the LEED® Silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. The venue has been identified as a pioneering example of new construction and sustainable design and is considered a leader in transforming the building industry. We hope to see you at the newly rebranded PNC Stadium soon!
