Prior to the Houston Dynamo taking the field on Saturday night to host Orlando City SC, the longtime popular Houston music group Los Skarnales will take the stage in the Bud Light Beer Garden to get fans in the mood for a party.
With over 20 years in the Texas music scene, Los Skarnales was started in 1994. The band rose out of the ashes of local punk rock band Desorden with help from original members Felipe Galvan and Jose Rodriguez. Always true to roots music in all forms, Skarnales performs a mixture of ska, reggae, rockabilly, cumbia and danzones, all with a punk attitude.
The Beer Garden ticket package starts at $36 and includes entry to the Beer Garden, two pregame drinks, and a ticket to the Dynamo – Orlando City game. The Bud Light Beer Garden is located on Rusk Ave. outside of BBVA Compass Stadium and opens at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday night. Los Skarnales will take the stage at 6 p.m. and kickoff for the Dynamo vs. Orlando City SC game is sat 7:30 p.m.
Never letting down at a live show, the band has performed extensively throughout the United States and Mexico and has shared the stage with such artists as Flaco Jimenez, Ozomatli, Los Fabulosos Cadillacs, the Aggrolites, Maldita Vecindad, the Slackers, the Specials, Fishbone, Agent Orange and many more.
A longtime fixture on the Houston music scene, Los Skarnales was inducted into the Houston Music Hall of Fame’s inaugural class in 2013 alongside other legends such as ZZ Top, the Geto Boyz, La Mafia and Yolanda Adams.
