On Wednesday, May 25th, Houston Dynamo Football Club and Dynamo Dash Charities partnered with MindReady to host a free sport psychology-focused webinar in recognition of Mental Health Month.
MindReady is a mental training system designed to help all athletes find lasting success and happiness on and off the field by offering the most efficient and effective way to connect with a licensed sport psychology coach. Its mission is to make sport psychology coaching more accessible, more connected and more impactful.
As part of the initiative, Houston Dynamo FC defender Erik Sviatchenko featured as a guest speaker on the free 60-minute webinar designed to educate athletes, parents and coaches on their recognition and facilitation of positive self-talk techniques for youth soccer players. The ultimate goal of the initiative is to build a community that supports and nurtures the next generation of MLS and NWSL stars.
Joining Sviatchenko was former Olympian and MindReady mental performance coach, Sarah Stratton, head of innovation at MindReady, Dr. Dominic Morais, and MindReady co-founder, Jeremy Wolf. All guests spoke on the available tools and techniques to support young athletes and parents.
