HOUSTON (July 4, 2026) – Houston Dynamo Football Club today announced additions to the **“Noche de México” Soccer Celebration**, presented by Kroger, at Shell Energy Stadium on Sunday, July 5. The venue’s public gates will open at 3:00 p.m. CT.

Fans can claim their free tickets for the event or secure special discounted rates for elevated experiences via Tixr HERE. Fans are also encouraged to arrive early, as general admission seating and capacity are on a first-come, first-served basis.

Media interested in covering any day of Soccer Celebration throughout the tournament should RSVP with a member of the HDFC Communications Team. Season-long credentials will grant access to the venue, while single-day credentials will be provided to media members who need them.

The main event of the day is another official live viewing for Mexico National Team’s FIFA World Cup 2026™ Round of 16 match versus England in partnership with the Federación Mexicana de Fútbol, with kickoff scheduled for 7:00 p.m. CT.

Notably, two Dynamo players, Mexican international legend Héctor Herrera and youth Mexican international Matthew Arana will be onsite for a meet-and-greet with fans in the Regions Bank Club starting at 5:45 p.m. CT.

Additionally, Houston Dynamo 2, the Club’s MLS NEXT Pro affiliate, will now host Minnesota United FC 2 at Shell Energy Stadium, with kickoff scheduled for 3:30 p.m. CT. This will mark Houston’s first match in Houston since March, as Dos was on the road for a league-record 10 matches due to DR Congo using their home venue as their home base during the World Cup. Dynamo 2 performed well during that stretch that included seven wins.

In total, Mexico live viewings hosted as part of the Houston Dynamo Soccer Celebration, presented by Kroger, have welcomed nearly 80,000 fans so far, with thousands more expected to attend, as attendance is expected to hit capacity once again. Fans should plan to arrive early, as claiming a free ticket does not guarantee entry. At present, elevated experience upgrades included Regions Bank Club, suites, and loge box access are all sold out.

Additional large LED viewing boards will be installed at multiple locations within the seating bowl, allowing fans to watch the match live around the stadium. These LED boards are in addition to the already existing giant in-stadium screens, on-concourse televisions and in-club-and-suite televisions for viewing.

Houston Dynamo Soccer Celebration, presented by Kroger, has welcomed nearly 90,000 fans during the World Cup so far and is designed as an accessible, cannot-miss destination that complements the massive festival scale of the nearby FIFA Fan Festival. The tournament-long activation inside Shell Energy Stadium transforms East Downtown into a unique, localized tournament headquarters.
