  • Improved the Dynamo’s record on the season to 10-10-10 overall and 9-1-4 at home.
  • Moved Houston’s record against the LA Galaxy to 0-0-2 this season.
  • Gave the Dynamo an all-time record against the LA Galaxy of 9-10-7 overall and 6-5-3 in Houston.

  • The Dynamo set a new single-season scoring record with their 48th, 49th and 50th goals of the season. The previous record of 48 goals was set in 2012. FW Alberth Elis broke the record when he scored a penalty kick in the 84th minute for the club’s 49th goal of the year.
  • The Dynamo tied a club record with 27 shots in the game. The last time the team took that many shots in a game was on April 17, 2018 against the New England Revolution in a 1-0 victory.
  • The Dynamo outshot LA 27-8 in the game. It was the It marked the 17th time this season that the Dynamo had more shots than their opponents, and their record in those games moved to 8-5-4.
  • The Galaxy had the better of possession, holding the ball for 51.9 percent of the game. It marked the 24th time this season that Houston had less possession than its opponent, and the Dynamo moved to 10-5-9 in those games.
  • The Dynamo utilized their 28th different starting lineup in 30 matches this season.
  • The Dynamo’s own-goal on the third minute was the fastest goal conceded by the team this year.
  • The Dynamo hadn’t scored an own-goal since March 13, 2015 against Orlando City SC.
  • The Dynamo trailed at halftime for the eighth time this season. Houston is now 0-5-3 this season when down at intermission.


INDIVIDUAL PLAYER NOTES:

  • FW Alberth Elis scored his first brace in MLS competition when he hit for a pair of goals in the 84th and 88th minutes.
  • Elis moved into a tie for second on the team with his eighth and ninth goals of the year, tying FW Mauro Manotas’ goal total.
  • Elis started his 16th game of the season and made his 23rd appearance overall.
  • MF Tomás Martínez scored his first career goal when he put a left-footed shot into the back of the net in the 26th minute.
  • Martínez started his third consecutive start and his seventh consecutive appearance with the team.
  • FW Vicente Sánchez recorded his third assist of the season and his second in as many games when he sent in a corner kick that FW Alberth Elis headed into the net in the 88th minute.
  • Sánchez made his 17th appearance of the season when he came in for forward Erick Torres in the 65th.
  • DF A.J. DeLaGarza recorded his career-best third assist of the year when he set up MF Tomás Martínez’s opening goal in the 26th minute. He now has seven career MLS assists.
  • DeLaGarza started his 26th game of the season and the 222nd of his MLS career tonight.
  • DeLaGarza made his second career start against the LA Galaxy after starting 196 over nine seasons for the Galaxy.
  • DF DaMarcus Beasley recorded his first assist of the season in the 26th minute. It was Beasley’s second assist as a Dynamo player and the 22nd of his MLS career.
  • Beasley started his 83rd game with the Dynamo tonight and the 171st of his MLS career.
  • MF Alex made his 28th appearance of the season and the 149th of his MLS regular-season career when he came in as substitute for midfielder Juan David Cabezas in the 42nd minute.
  • MF Juan David Cabezas made his 24th start and 25th appearance of the season tonight.
  • Cabezas was substituted by midfielder Alex in the 42nd minute after he suffered a right leg injury.
  • MF Ricardo Clark started in his 250th career appearance for the Dynamo in MLS regular-season action tonight. It was his 313th career start in the league, moving him within three starts of the league’s all-time top 10.
  • In the 80th minute, Clark joined Brad Davis as the only Dynamo players to play more than 21,000 minutes in MLS regular-season competition.

  • DF Leonardo started his 25th game of the season and the 104th of his MLS career today.
  • Leonardo made his second career start against the LA Galaxy after starting 79 for LA over seven years.
  • DF Adolfo Machado started his 30th consecutive game. He is the only player on the team to have started every game this season.
  • Machado played all 90 minutes for the 30th consecutive match. He and New York City FC defender Alexander Callens are the only field players in the league who have played every minute for their clubs this year.
