​INDIVIDUAL PLAYER NOTES:


  • FW Andrew Wenger scored the third-fastest goal in club history when he found the net just 52 seconds into the game.
  • Wenger’s goal was his first of the season and the 20th of his career. It was also his first goal against Montreal, the team who drafted him No. 1 overall in 2011.
  • Wenger made his fifth start of the season, his 29th with the Dynamo and the 88th of his career.
  • MF Memo Rodriguez scored his first career goal in MLS play when he drove a right-footed blast into the lower left corner of the net from 20 yards out.
  • Rodriguez became the second Dynamo Academy alumnus to score in MLS regular-season play, joining Alex Dixon, who scored the game-winner in a 3-2 win over Real Salt Lake on Aug. 20, 2011.
  • Rodriguez made his fourth appearance of the season, all of which have come off the bench, when he came into the game for FW Erick Torres in the 63rd minute.
  • MF Alex scored his second goal of the season and the 12th of his career when he found the net in the 23rd minute with a low left-footed strike.
  • Alex surpassed 9,000 career minutes played in MLS regular-season competition tonight. He hit the milestone in the 64th minute.
  • Alex continued his string of playing in every game this season. He and DF Adolfo Machado are the only players to have played every game this season for the team.
  • FW Mauro Manotas notched the first multi-assist game of his career and did so within the first 23 minutes of the contest. He set up FW Andrew Wenger’s goal in the first minute off of a corner kick, and then assisted on MF Alex’s goal in the 23rd minute.
  • According to Opta, Manotas created a game-high six chances despite only attempting 27 total passes. His 92.6 percent completion rate was second among Dynamo starters.
  • DF DaMarcus Beasley made his 13th start of the season and the 163rd of his career tonight.
  • MF Juan David Cabezas led all Dynamo players with 71 touches and 50 passes attempted, and his 88.0 pass completion percentage was third among Dynamo starters.
  • Cabezas made his 13th consecutive start and his 14th overall this season.
  • MF Ricardo Clark picked up his third yellow card of the season when he was carded in the 25th minute for a foul on Montreal MF Michael Salazar.
  • Clark made his 306th career start in MLS regular-season play tonight.

  • DF Adolfo Machado started his 19th consecutive game. He is the only player on the team to have started every game this season.
  • FW Erick Torres surpassed 6,000 career minutes played in MLS tonight. He hit the milestone in the 50th minute.
