Toluca advanced to the Semifinals after earning a 2-0 victory over MLS side Austin FC on Wednesday night at Sports Illustrated Stadium in New Jersey. A 53rd minute penalty kick goal from Helinho and a second half stoppage-time finish from Joreg Diaz Price secured the result for Los Diablos Rojos.
León reached the Semifinals after defeating MLS club Real Salt Lake 3-0 on Tuesday night at DICK'S Sporting Goods Park in Colorado. The victory was highlighted by a dominant offensive performance from Colombian forward Diber Cambindo, who scored twice for the Liga MX side. Sebastian Vegas scored León's other goal in the 66th minute, while Fernando Beltran recorded two assists on the night.
Leagues Cup is an annual, Concacaf-sanctioned competition between Major League Soccer and Liga MX that features top clubs from both leagues competing in a fully interleague format. Launched in 2023, the tournament represents a landmark collaboration between the two leagues and serves as a cornerstone of their long-term partnership.
The top three finishers in Leagues Cup qualify for the Concacaf Champions Cup, with the champion earning the opportunity to represent the region in FIFA International club competitions.
