The Houston Dash have waived defender Ellie Brush, the club announced today.

“We thank Ellie for her contributions to the club and NWSL over the last two seasons,” managing director Brian Ching said. “She was very active in the Houston community raising awareness of the Dash and the sport itself. We wish her the best as she prepares for the W-League in Australia.”

The 27-year-old appeared in 30 games for the Dash (29 starts) playing a total of 2,414 minutes for the club. Brush scored her only goal for the club on July 29, 2015 in a 3-2 victory over FC Kansas City at BBVA Compass Stadium with a side-volley near the penalty spot off a cross from Kealia Ohai.

The defender was acquired from Canberra United on May 20, 2015.
