- The Dynamo posted their fourth shutout of the season and second on the road this year.
- The Dynamo tied a season high with 19 shots in the game, hitting that mark for the fourth time this year and for the second consecutive game.
- Minnesota held the edge in possession, holding the ball for 65.7 percent of the game. It was the 16th time this season that Houston had less possession than its opponent, and the Dynamo moved to 8-4-4 in those games.
- The Dynamo were tied with Minnesota United FC at halftime, going into intermission deadlocked at 0-0. It was the seventh time this season the Houston went into halftime level with their opponents, and the club moved to 0-3-4 in those games.
- Houston’s 14 shots in the first half were tied for the most in a half this season, matching their 14 first-half shots in the season opener vs. Seattle Sounders FC (March 5).
- The Dynamo used their 20th different starting lineup in 20 games this season.
INDIVIDUAL PLAYER NOTES:
- MF Memo Rodriguez made his first career start tonight. He is the third Dynamo Academy alumnus to start a regular-season match for the club, joining Alex Dixon (1) and Tyler Deric (66).
- Rodriguez attempted a career-high five shots in the game, including a game-high two on goal, in 78 minutes.
- Rodriguez led the team with 63 touches in the game, and his 41 passes attempted were also the most on the club.
- Rodriguez more than doubled his career total for minutes played with his 78-minute shift tonight. The 21-year-old entered the game with 67 career minutes to his credit.
- MF Alex made his 18th start of the season, his 57th with the Dynamo and the 104th of his MLS career tonight.
- Alex continued his string of playing in every game this season. He and DF Adolfo Machado are the only players to have played every game this season for the team.
- DF DaMarcus Beasley made his 14th start of the season and the 164th of his career tonight.
- MF Juan David Cabezas made his 14th consecutive start and his 15th overall this season.
- MF Ricardo Clark made his 307th career start in MLS regular-season play tonight and his 232nd with the Dynamo.
- Clark picked up a yellow card in the 45th minute for a tackle on Minnesota MF Kevin Molino. It was Clark’s 43rd caution in all competitions, which passed former Dynamo DF Eddie Robinson for the most in club history. He also holds the club record for cautions received in MLS regular-season play with 36.
- DF A.J. DeLaGarza made his 213th career start in tonight’s game.
- DeLaGarza came up with a vital goal-line clearance in the 61st minute to keep the game level at 0-0 when he chased a Minnesota counterattack and covered for GK Tyler Deric, blocking a low shot from Minnesota MF Kevin Molino that had Deric beaten.
- DeLaGarza surpassed 1,500 minutes played for the seventh consecutive season and the eighth time in his nine-year career, topping the milestone in the 60th minute.
- GK Tyler Deric kept his second clean sheet of the season and the 17th of his career.
- Deric made his 200th career save when he stopped a shot from Minnesota MF Kevin Molino in the 17th minute. Deric entered the game with 199 career saves in MLS regular-season play. He ended the night with two saves, giving him 201 in his career.
- Deric made his 66th career start tonight and his 12th of the season.
- Deric improved his record as a starter to 22-24-17 with the draw.
- Deric surpassed 1,000 minutes played in a season for the second time in his career in the 10th minute of tonight’s game.
- MF José Escalante made his second consecutive appearance and the fifth of his career when he came on for MF Memo Rodriguez in the 78th minute.
- MF Joseph Holland made his fourth appearance of the season when he came into the game for MF Alex in the 85th minute.
- DF Leonardo made his 102nd career appearance in MLS regular-season play tonight. It will be his 14th consecutive start, his 17th with the Dynamo and the 96th of his career.
- DF Adolfo Machado started his 20th consecutive game. He is the only player on the team to have started every game this season.
- Machado picked up a yellow card in the 63rd minute for a foul on Minnesota MF Ibson. It was his fourth caution of the season and his first since May 20 at Atlanta.
- FW Mauro Manotas made his 25th start for the Dynamo in MLS regular-season play tonight and will be playing in his 50th career game.
- Manotas’ six shots in the game tied a team season-high. Fellow FW Erick Torres had six shots at Philadelphia on May 17.
- FW Vicente Sánchez made his 12th appearance of the season, all of which have come off the bench, when he came on for FW Andrew Wenger in the 76th minute.
- FW Andrew Wenger made his sixth start of the season, his third in a row, his 30th with the Dynamo and the 89th of his career.
