Marcelo Balboa, Ivan Zamorano and Pavel Pardo headline the Univision Deportes Legends roster for the BBVA Compass Dynamo Charities Cup Legends Match on October 5 at BBVA Compass Stadium, it was announced today.
The Univision Deportes Legends will face off against Dynamo Legends, announced Wednesday, in a seven-on-seven match prior to the BBVA Compass Dynamo Charities Cup match between the Dynamo and Mexican club Cruz Azul. The Legends match will start at 7 p.m. CT, while the Dynamo and Cruz Azul kick off at 8 p.m. CT. Both matches will be broadcast nationally on the Univision Deportes Network.
The BBVA Compass Dynamo Charities Cup is an annual exhibition match in which the Dynamo take on a team from outside of Major League Soccer, with proceeds benefitting a local nonprofit organization. This year's nonprofit beneficiary is the Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund established by Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner and Harris County Judge Ed Emmett. BBVA Compass and the Dynamo have set a goal of raising $100,000 from the event.
