The Houston Dash released their official regular season roster as they prepare to take the field for the first time at BBVA Compass Stadium Sunday afternoon. The Dash will open their fifth season in the NWSL against the Chicago Red Stars at 4 p.m. on Sunday, March 25 at BBVA Compass Stadium.

United States Women’s National Team player Jane Campbell and Canadian Women’s National Team forward Nichelle Prince, are part of the 20-player roster as Federation Players. Additionally, players from the Australia, England and South Africa national teams as well as the Sweden youth team are included in the 2018 roster.

Nine players return from last season’s team: goalkeepers Campbell and Bianca Henninger; defenders Amber Brooks and Janine Van Wyk; midfielders Claire Falknor and Kristie Mewis; and forwards Rachel Daly, Kealia Ohai and Nichelle Prince. Forward Kyah Simon, defender Lotta Okvist and goalkeeper Sammy Jo Prudhomme were acquired in the NWSL Dispersal Draft earlier this spring.

Twelve members of the Dash have represented their countries at the international level. Campbell is a current member of the USWNT, while Ohai, Mewis and Brooks have each earned at least one international cap for the Stars & Stripes. Prince and forward Lindsay Agnew are both members of the CanWNT; forward Kyah Simon stars for Australia; defender Lotta Okvist has represented Sweden at the senior international level; Henninger has played for the Mexican Women’s National Team; and Van Wyk, midfielder Linda Motlhalo and forward Thembi Kgatlana all represent South Africa.

USWNT forward Christen Press has not reported to the team and therefore does not count against the team’s active 19-player roster, however the Dash retain her player rights within the NWSL.

The Dash have waived two contracted players ahead of today’s roster compliance deadline: defenders Camille Levin and Cari Roccaro. Levin was released at her request in order to pursue opportunities abroad.

Tickets for Dash Opening Day begin at $19, and full Season Ticket Memberships begin at $192. Full season memberships and single-game tickets are available online at HoustonDashSoccer.com, by phone at 713-276-GOAL or at the BBVA Compass Stadium box office.
