The Houston Dynamo return to BBVA Compass Stadium, where they are one of five undefeated home teams and average 2+ goals per game, looking to bounce back from a road loss to the Seattle Sounders when they host the Portland Timbers in a Western Conference showdown.

Houston (6-2-1) had a strong performance, but fell just short in a 1-0 loss to the Sounders at CenturyLink Field Saturday night with Cristian Roldan scoring his second screamer in as many weeks for the game's lone goal five minutes after kickoff.

The Timbers (3-6-1) had their three-match winning streak snapped at BC Place, also conceding inside the opening 10 minutes in a 1-0 loss to the Whitecaps in a Cascadia Cup showdown. Fredy Montero scored the decisive goal in the 9th minute. Diego Valeri had a golden chance to equalize in the 72nd minute, but Maxime Crepeau came up with the point-blank save.

Houston has never lost at home to Portland (4W-4D inc. playoffs). The Dynamo have averaged 1.9 goals per game in those eight games, while only conceding multiple goals once. Portland has conceded in 17 consecutive road games, a franchise record and tied for the ninth-longest streak in MLS since 2010.
