There are only a few weeks left of regular season play in Australia’s W-League and our Dash players on loan are fighting for a playoff spot.
Last week, forward Veronica Latsko and midfielder Sofia Huerta played full 90s in a scoreless draw against Brisbane Roar. Defender Ari Romero and Perth Glory were unable to make a comeback in a 3-1 loss to the Western Sydney Wanderers. Lastly, midfielder Haley Hanson played an instrumental part in Melbourne Victory’s 3-0 win over defender Amber Brooks and Adelaide United. Hanson’s performance earned her a spot in the W-League Team of the Week.
This week, Romero and Perth Glory start play on the road against the Newcastle Jets on Thursday, January 23 at 2:30 am CDT. Brooks and Adelaide United continue the weekend when they host Western Sydney Wanderers on Saturday, January 25 at 2:30 am CDT. Week 11 play wraps up with Hanson and Melbourne City hosting Canberra United on Saturday, January 25 at 11:00 pm CDT which will be broadcasted on ESPN+.
